For some reason I thought it was the finale this week, 2 hrs. 6 more weeks? Geesh.

      I was seriously pissed when
      Spoiler for Spoiler:
they killed off Renee. I mean, Jack finally has a soulmate of sorts, somebody who understands him and is more than willing to have a tag-team torture session with him, and she's dead no more than 10 minutes after they consummate the relationship.

Anyway, I think that Jack is really going to go apeshit now. Heads are going to roll. Dana/Jenny is in deep doodoo.
Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

Just finished watching it. (I love IP masking software) I agree. I'm glad this is the last season because it has become silly at points. Having the last six episodes with Jack a psycho killing machine will close this series down right. Dirty Russians don't know what they have coming.

I've actually quite liked this season, but they have taken me off-guard with at least two things.
Spoiler for Stuff I didn't see coming:
I wasn't expecting Hassan to get killed like that, and I wasn't expecting Renee to actually die from the gunshot wound, at least not until the last episode or so. Also, that sniper has sucky aim. Seriously. I could shoot better than him across a street. That's what, no more than 75 yards?

It is better than last year. That was pathetic. And there have been some changes, but I try to predict exactly what will happen before each episode now. I've gotten pretty good. I'm not that smart. The show is just become very predictable and it hasn't always been that way. I'm curious as to how the movie will work out. Should be interesting if they can pull it off.

The show was a suckfest after the nuke went off in Season 6. The last 2/3rds of Season 6 and Season 7 were not very good at all, IMO.

On another note, I totally dig what they did with Chloe this week. Now she is free to be as snarky as she wants to be.

Watched the the last 3 hours last night, so now I am caught up. Those were pretty good episodes. 6 hrs of pure jack butt kicking coming up, I would suppose.

Did they do a silent ticker at the close of last night's episode? I don't remember. But even if they did, it doesn't mean

                    Spoiler for oh do tell:
that Renee is dead, seeing as how hers was the second significant "death" of the hour. With this show, you never know. Tony Almeida, anyone? Christopher Henderson? Audrey?

I'm also looking forward to a whole lot of Jack-as-superman to finish it off. I'm glad they toned him down somewhat the last couple years, as watching him torture a new suspect every single episode got really old.

They did. I'm pretty sure it is exactly what that indicated. That one would be tough to change.

Another part I disliked as well. She had been more timid this season when she came back. I am looking forward to the easily irritated snarky Chloe...

Yes they did.. That was also new. Probably a moment of silence kind of thing...

Pretty sure that's been the case the whole series when a main character dies.

Right. Teri Bauer, David Palmer, Edgar Styles, etc.

No ticker when Tony "died," so everyone kept waiting for his grand re-entrance. But last night, since two key players appeared to die, the silence could mean only one of them really did...
