I thought the finale was best acting and lines from the President all season. She seemed like such a weakling all year, but finally had some well-acted moments this episode.

I fully expected Jack to get offed, but I guess this does leave it open for the movie of the escape, get the Ruskies and... unfortunately, more appearances by Kim as she is used as a play against Jack.
I have nothing else to say at this time.

I've liked Cherry Jones as the president, and I though the plotline with her was very believable (to the extent such a thing matters in 24). For the past couple of seasons she's been noble and made the hard and right decision - but this season showed that she has her weak points and flaws, and I think it was very much a story about a fall from grace by the second-best president on 24 (or am I forgetting somebody after David Palmer?).

I watched the last hour of it last night and cam away with a huge W. T. F.?!? afterward.

I guess that's what happens when I haven't watched any of it since season 3. And I've never seen an entire season of it.

Lol, yeah, if you haven't wanted anything since season 3, a WTF would have been in order.

Skip seasons 6 and 7 if you want to catch up and just read a summary.

I think I will. Folks here seem to enjoy the show and I'm willing to give it a try.

The episode two weeks ago with the gutting was a top-5 episode of the entire series and last week's was pretty awesome too. I liked the prez in the previous season, I just thought she wasn't that strong until last night.

Watched the finale last night. I liked it.

When does the movie come out? I assume it will follow the "events occur in real time" format? So Jack has to kick some butt and get the bad guys in 2 hours? Hope it's good...

It will not follow the real time format, from what I have heard. It will be 24 hours in two hours.

I'm pumped. The CTU ringtone on my phone will be relevant again.
