Mass Effect 1 was great, the 2nd was one giant side quest. One could play the 3rd game having not played the second, yet not miss anything on the story.

Anyone read those leaked rumors of the story for the 3rd?

Picked up the latest Zelda released today. Skyward Sword. I reserved our big screen for all day after church. I like Twilight Princess much better. I don't like the hazy picture.

My audience of 3 neighborhood boys was a definite drag on my experience. Normally I liked to explore, turn over every rock, pick every flower. I like to talk to every villager, sometimes twice, and muse over everything they say. My audience became visibly irritated when I wouldnt progress directly from battle to battle, and showed a noticeable lack of appreciation for my little side quests where I try pumpkin bowling.

The game is similar to the movie Avatar.

So Rocksmith recently debuted at $80. It's like guitar hero but with any real electric guitar. But it also teaches you how to play. Reviews have been mostly positive about an 8.0. But users seem to gush over this game with their reviews 9+. Gamestop has it right now for $50. So tempted.

Went to Best Buy today on Friday around 8:30 a.m. They still had several copies of Arkham City for $29.99. I picked up a copy and am enjoying it.

Best buy had Uncharted 3 for thirty bucks as well..

Gidget got it for me. I played for about an hour or two today. Pretty cool concept. Given that all I play are chords the riffing was giving me fits. I should also pick up my guitar more than once every 6 months. But honestly, I think this game will make me a better player. It really is a great teaching tool with lots of technique type exercises. The only gripe I have thus far is that it seems to be a bit sluggish between "games". Also, I wish the lag tuner were more like Rockband or Guitar Hero instead of just a slider you manually adjust.

Also, we picked up Dance Central 2 for the fam. Our girls got a kick out of the first one and this one hasn't disappointed.

Would it be ok for an 11 year old? Or is the language and content a bit too graphic?

I don't think language is an issue. I don't really see the violence as too much of an issue either. There isn't any blood and since it is Batman he doesn't kill people. There are some more disturbing elements in the game with the serial killer that based on age could be an issue.

Skyrim is awesome. Star wars the old republic looks awesome, though Ill wait a month or two. I dont know what there is to look forward to in the next few months besides FFXIII-2. They cant possibly mess it up twice can they?

I got Skyrim for Christmas but wasn't able to play until last night as I was out of town. Does the game tend to play better as a mage or a warrior. I don't want to waste 10-15 hours building a character only to discover that I would prefer to play another style.
