Been playing NCAA Football 14 - cause I am a total sucker. The physics engine is way better than before, but they seem to have a love affair with the option.
Overall, I like the new recruiting system better and the game actually shows improvements over previous years.
I'm starting to get excited about GTA V. That gameplay video looks fun. I haven't played any games in the series since Vice City so I think to prepare for the new release, I'm going to buy GTA IV (w/expansions).

I'm on the look out for smaller/indie games I haven't played yet. First up is Antichamber and Hotline Miami.
If you're looking for good indie games I highly suggest FTL (if you haven't played it already).
I bought Hotline Miami from the Steam sale today and I'm looking forward to it. The game ended up being free for me because I've sold so many cards on the market (from playing Borderlands 2, Dota 2, FTL, and CS:GO) so I had over 5 bucks in my steam wallet.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Old School Game Players: I finally got ahold of a gamecube game i've been looking for a looong time. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. It's supposed to be Nintendo's only MA game offering ever. It made all of the Top Ten lists for Game Cube. (and yeah, I am almost 10 years late on this one, but these gamecube games I've been amassing lately are super cheap, as am I.)

Anyone ever finished this one?
Yes I have-like over 10 years ago. I don't remember much about it, other than it was supposed to be spooky. I think it was a lot of puzzles.

Here's a question from a non-gamer. My son (4) and daughter (7) have been playing Lego Pirates of the Caribbean together this summer. They have been great a working together as a team to figure out the levels, and it has been fun to watch them problem solve together. Yesterday they defeated the final level, and were jumping up and down and high fiving in celebration. Just as the game began to save, my 2-year old, almost as if she knew what she was doing, got up off the couch, walked to the Xbox, and touched the glowing power button. Just like that, the entire profile was corrupted. They are devastated, as they had been looking forward to free play using any of the characters.
So here's my question: is there a cheat code to allow you to play the entire game as if you had defeated it (i.e. use all of the characters, free play any of the levels, etc)? If so, how do you even put a cheat code into the game?

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

My brother owns and operates a video game store, though, so I may run this by him.

In 2009, Batman Arkham Asylum comes out, really good game.
2011, Batman Arkham City is released, it's a really, really great game.
Rocksteady in the UK made both games. Arkham City I believe was the 7th best selling video game of 2011. We're talking about some serious cash here.
So what does Warner Brothers do? They give it over to Warner Bros' Studio in Montreal.
The metacritic score for Arkham City was 96 which is exceptionally high, basically we're talking about Uncharted 2 and GTA V territory.
Arkham Origins comes in at 76. Time Warner I believe owns Rocksteady, so I don't understand why they chose to hand off such property to their Montreal studio. Did a bunch of people defect from Rocksteady or something?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”
