District 9. Took me long enough. I liked it a lot.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I redboxed this. Pretty funny. I didn't know what I was expecting, but it was a little more caper-ish than I anticipated. The twist at the end was pretty good, though.Originally posted by Green Lantern View PostSaw I Love You Phillip Morris on Thursday. Ewen McGregor and Jim Carrey are both great in it and I laughed out loud quite a bit. It's a fascinating true story about a con artist/prison escapee and how his love for a fellow inmate kept getting him in more and more trouble."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

"I am Love"
A beautiful film. Tilda Swinton is brilliant as the lead. She conveys so much without using dialogue. And the settings throughout are enrapturing.
Spoiler for discusses the film:there's a love scene with her and Antonio where they're outdoors, and interspersed with shots of their bodies are images of nature. It's very original and very erotic.
It's on Instant, and I'd highly suggest it."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Mr. Popper's Penguins isn't completely annoying if you suspend your disbelief."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

In the past 3 nights i've watched Blue Valentine, A Serious Man, and Biutiful, each seemingly more depressing than the next. Great shows, but all depressing as hell.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Looks good, thanks for finding. On my list now.Originally posted by BoylenOver View Post"Winter in Wartime"

Saw the next X-Men movie. Impressive cast. James McAvoy, Michael Fassenbender (from "Fish Tank"), Jennifer Lawrence ("Winter's Bone"), Rose Byrne. It's better than the last two, but it doesn't approach the first two or either of the first two "Spider-Man" movies."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

Bridesmaids. Chachi saw it with a girlfriend and had been hyping it up. They women finally convinced the men to double date. I hate to give the credit to my wife, but it was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a really long time.I'm your huckleberry.

Just re-watched this. It might be one of my favorite movies. The editing and the split-screen vantage points are mesmerizing. And Eckhart and Bonham-Carter are pitch perfect, capturing that projected aloofness that masks an inner turmoil and suffering.Originally posted by BoylenOver View Post"Conversations With Other Women"
Beautiful and heartbreaking. The actor and actress that played their younger selves did a great job."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay

On the advice of some of you, I watched "Tell No One" last night. It had good pace and pretty good character levels/development, along with a bit of a surprise ending. I enjoyed it. Thanks."I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"
