I liked the first Avengers movie, for what it is. I went to Ultron based on the Rotten Tomato score and expecting only a popcorn movie experience. I was sorely disappointed. It was too long and tedious to the extreme. After about 90 minutes I just wanted it to end, even if it meant lkilling the avengers. Just stop the madness! Reasonable minds can differ, of course, but I thought the film was terrible.
    PLesa excuse the tpyos.

      Ouch!

What did you think if Avengers 2?
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I thought it was okay. I wouldn't pay money to see it, but it beats Tomorrowland, a movie that knowing what I know now, you'd have to pay me $100 to sit through and waste 2 hours of my day.

          • Mad Max. I took my 13 year-old son, and Mrs. NWC was not pissed. Also my older daughters, who got on the feminists' bandwagon and loved that it had strong women characters.

Visually, I loved it. There were some really whacked out scenes. Most of the characters were really interesting. It was the type of movie that didn't need much of a back story. You quickly put everything together, even though there is great potential for some background. It was a great movie to see in the theater.

After walking out of the theater, I felt a little let down. Like a couple of you said, it's a pretty simple plot line. But in the end I still enjoyed it. Solid B+ for me. It did take me forever to figure out who this was:

            • Went to see Ex Machina a few days ago and had one of the more memorable movie going experiences of my life. About half-way through the movie, this 50ish year old lady, who for some reason decided to sit two seats away from me despite the theater being almost empty, pulls out her cell phone and starts to fumble through it as if she were reading a text or something. That was annoying enough, but then she turns the flashlight on her phone on, stands up, shines it in the face of an older lady sitting a couple of rows back, and shouts "Who is making that rustling noise? Knock it off! People are trying to watch the movie." Before this happened, I hadn't even realized there was anyone sitting behind us, even though I was closer to the older lady than the flashlight lady was. This, understandably, pisses the older lady off, who starts yelling back, "Who the hell do you think you are shining that in my face? Do that again and you're going to get smacked. Stupid lady." The older lady, who was eating a bag of popcorn (the cause of the noise), then proceeds to intentionally rustle the popcorn bag as loud as possible for the rest of the movie.

The rest of the movie was good, but I think the impending threat that these two women were going to start an all-out brawl (with me sitting in the middle of it) ratcheted up the intensity a bit.

              • Entourage.

L.O.V.E.D. it. If you enjoyed the series you will really enjoy it. If you haven't watched the series...it is still really good.

Lots of nudity and foul language.

Yep -- Ari is the best character by far and the main reason to watch.

And he completely nails it gives you more than you hoped in the movie.

I am still chuckling this morning.

They have said that if the movie makes 100 Million that they will green light a 2nd movie. I am in!

                        • I think without the show the movie would be dumb.

We do a Tuesday night movie night, 5 bucks at South Point, 6 bucks at GVR, and we had 10 show up last night. The consensus was those who had watched the series thought it was really solid, the ones who didn't thought it was ok.

Good guys night movie, typical Entourage plot, hot chicks, inappropriate jokes, I enjoyed it.

yeah none of the other characters are even interesting. ari has been a great character and salvaged what otherwise would have been some pretty bad seasons.

                              • I just subscribed to HBO Go (No cable subscription needed, online streaming only). $14.99/month. I've just watched 3 seasons of Entourage. Ari is my favorite character.
