  • Survivor and American Idol are the shows that my daughters will watch with me. Kind of like a date night. Needless to say, I've seen every episode of those two shows, and never cease to be entertained.

I'm not sure the blood vs. water thing worked as well as the show producers would've liked. I can see it returing with a different spin (parents vs. children or siblings or something), but this format didn't totally work.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I imagine they'll do whatever it takes to get Rupert back on the show again (and again, and again). I don't like him the way that most Survivor fans apparently do.

I didn't care for that aspect but after the mid-point this season was highly entertaining.

The next season is Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty. I'm assuming it will be an all-star cast.

I'm sick to death of Rupert. His wife creeps me out.

The next season is all new people. No returning people at all. I'm glad too. It's fun to watch the old people, but it's also a little grating when you really hate someone (for example, Kat, perhaps the dumbest person to ever appear on primetime television not on Dateline or 20/20 or 60 Minutes. Her thinly veiled attempt at telling everyone that her gay? boyfriend wanted her to get a boob job was just pathetic.

Now, as for Rupert, I like him, but I think his luster has diminished since that first season when he was a pirate stealing people's clothing. His wife was, bless her heart, not built for Survivor. His changing places with her almost seemed, in the finale, done out of fear more than love. I did enjoy the Culpeppers, and I didn't understand why everyone was piling on her at the end. She's not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree when it comes to game play, and she did talk a lot when she shouldn't've, but it seemed strangely personal. Also, though emaciated at the end of the game, at the finale, good grief, she looked like she was made out of diamond-dust bricks.

                Reportedly, all new cast members.

                  • I wondered if the B B B was for bare, bare and more bare. They saw Naked and Afraid and thought the only thing better than putting two naked people together is putting about twenty naked people together.

                      • This season took a long time to get going, but it's now a confederacy of dunces with Natalie the only player I care about. Jon and Jacqulyn (sp?) deserve each other. The both act like they're 16, having lovers' spats in front of everyone. This has been my least favorite season ever. The challenges are awesome, but they're letting the players make too many side deals with the game.

So - as a person who generally enjoys watching survivor but hasn't seen one episode of this season - it is worth my time? Your "least favorite season ever" comment has me thinking that maybe I shouldn't waste my time.

                            • It's been middle of the road. Some great blind sides have redeemed it, but otherwise it's hard to argue about the quality of this season. It's hard to believe that these final six (how do Missy and Baylor both make it this far)are the remaining survivors (with the lone exception of Natalie, but she is annoying as hell).

My wife and I have watched Survivor together for years. This season I have fallen asleep before then end of the epidose every single time. And I haven't felt like I've missed much.
