Hold up - the lung cancer is incurable, right?. You don't get unending medical treatment for incurable diseases. That's one of the ways they are able to pay for everyone else's treatment - by not wasting money on someone who is going to die regardless.

Maybe Mr. White should have moved to Niger or Malawi which has a lung cancer death rate of less than 1 per 100K. Of course, he would have most likely died of something else given these country's low life expectancies.

Rewatched the ending last night. There were six shooters, three of which had assault rifles. With a dead rest from 50 ft, there is no way in hell any of them would miss. What an incredibly stupid ending to the episode.

What i found interesting, is none of the recappers I read seemed to care about the stupidity of how many inaccurate shots were fired. In fact, one thought it was an homage to a Sergio Leone-type ending. To most of blue-stated America, it seems to be a non-issue.

On the breaking bad insider podcast Vince Gilligan was teasing the director of this episode that she snuck in a shootout, then conceded that it was actually part of the script.

Yes. I understand that even the best marksmen are terrible shots when in a firefight, but for no one to even get grazed by any of the bullets fired in that scene is ludicrous.

I agree. But I also understand that we didn't see the scene culminate, nor do we know whom was grazed or not in what we did see.

Sure seemed like everyone was in their respective positions and unharmed. Hank and Gomez covered at least 20 feet to the SUV while hundreds (thousands?) of bullets are fired in their general direction. Dumb luck alone should have resulted in some kind of hit.
