                    The beauty of 500mm at f/4, note that the body is already going out of focus at just an inch away from the focus on the eye/beak. This is shot out my car (mini-van) window at the bird in a parking lot. Background just a few feet away is completely thrown out of focus at this focal length.

                      • Still at the Midway Geyser Basin. Probably my favorite thermal area. The Grand Prismatic Spring is breathtaking. Very happy there were clouds that morning.

                              • Afternoon same day, headed up to Lamar Valley for wildlife.













                                I expect to see a comment from Uncle Ted suggesting I save a lot of money and use an iPhone to get these shots next time.
