Once, in fifth grade, our teacher was reading to our class a jury summons she received. The summons included the word exacerbate. My friend pointed out how much exacerbate sounded like masturbate and just how hillarious that was. We were ordered to write out the definition of exacerbate 1000 times. I completed the task and have never forgotten what that word means. Exacerbate is no longer funny.Originally posted by cowboy View PostAnd exacerbate

The Fairly Oddparents, much like Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah!, lose me because of the voices.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI love The Fairly Oddparents. I can understand that the voices are annoying to some; however, at my house, we have a teenage girl who is in constant crisis mode, so Cosmo's voice is like that of an angel.Originally posted by wuapinmon View PostThe Fairly Oddparents, much like Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah!, lose me because of the voices."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

My mother's freezer (an upright 8.0 cu ft.) was lasted defrosted by me when we were evacuated here during Hurricane Katrina. I defrosted it again today. In the process, I cut the SHIVWITZ NEED FEDERAL WATER RIGHTS! out of my right middle fingertip and it's hurting now. I finally got it to stop bleeding after the dead skin cells in my finger tips re-dessicated and I could identify the wound itself. It might could (I'm Southern) use a stitch, but I'm just going to bind it tightly with a band-aid and re-evaluate it tomorrow. I bet a drop of superglue would be perfect, if I knew it would burn the skin."Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. In 1941, Jorge Luis Borges wrote a film review of Orson Welles' Citizen Kane. This review was written, mind you, during the period when William Randolf Hearst threatened anyone and everyone associated with the movie, and Hollywood was scared crapless of what would happen to their industry should the movie get any serious attention.

These past two days of 70 degree weather in Salt Lake have made me miss Ocean Beach so much, because this is a typical August day there. After a 4 mile jog in the morning, it's been a perfect day to relax and read. I wish my balcony had a hammock.

I probably shouldn't get them mixed up because one of them is archly outrageous while the other one exhibits quite reasoned thinking. Plus, I think one of them is extremely witty. I also think Ocean Beach has the best fish tacos in the PB area.Originally posted by Fiyero View PostThese past two days of 70 degree weather in Salt Lake have made me miss Ocean Beach

CougarFan.com was a great spot once upon a time. That is where I got my start to internet posting.Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostI have been checking in here from my BIL's computer. He also frequently uses a site called CougarFan.com. I know this because each time I start typing 'cougaruteforum' Firefox attempts to auto-fill with 'cougarfan.' So I am afraid that my BIL is going to discover my dirty secret. If I totally clear the history, he might think I was using the computer to surf porn (I have not!). So I am looking into ways to selectively delete history, like in the book 1984.Get confident, stupid
