"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
It's funny, on the surface, due to her celebrating of the failed merger at the time. But the MAGA argument that Spirit and JetBlue merging would have somehow saved them is faulty logic. Even JetBlue's founder and former CEO, some guy named Neeleman, said if it went through, both companies would probably be out of business now. In fact, he said JetBlue is probably on the cusp. And it was a Reagan appointed judge that killed the merger.

This is disingenuous. He said it would have been tough due to the high debt carried by spirit. That is not the argument Warren made at the time. She opposed it on antitrust grounds.

I’m reminded of a Taiwanese client that asked me to merge two of his failing U.S. companies into a single entity, I asked why and he responded: “Two boats sinking, Tie together. Both float!”

Disingenuous? Like blaming Elizabeth Warren for their failure instead of the DOJ that argued and the federal judge that decided?
Again, I get the joke. It scratches the conservative funny bone to blame liberal Warren and harkens back to her imagined Native American heritage. I’m sure Uncle Ted pulled a muscle laughing at it.

hey I didn’t get that the first time I saw it. Clever.
yeah, if a joke about Warren’s ancestry doesn’t get UT’s attention he must be far away from here currently.
"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."
