  • Anton Yelchin, the new Mr. Chekov, killed by his own Jeep Grand Cherokee. It wasn't put in park properly, it rolled back, pinned him against a gate, and he asphyxiated. There's speculation wondering if the vehicle's recall on the eShift transmission could be to blame, but there's no proof as yet. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36572649

"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.

        • Scotty Moore.

I bought an Epiphone version of his guitar over ten years ago when I went through a rockabilly phase. His influence can not be overstated.

Can't speak for Grape, but I'm pretty sure Buddy earned his way into Celestial in 1985.

I'm pretty sure that some rabid LDS/Tenn fan will do the temple work for Ms. Summit. She's a shoe-in.

And I'm pretty sure that anybody who cares about Buddy's eternal salvation won't be worthy to do the temple work for him.

                    Gene Wilder has passed away.

Gene Wilder, star of 'Willy Wonka,' is dead at 83

Waco Kid: It got so that every pissant prairie punk who thought he could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid. I must've killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. Got pretty gritty. Started hearing the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one day, I was walking down the street when I heard someone shout, "Reach for it, mister!" I turned around to see who it was, and there I was, standing face-to-face...with a 6 year-old kid. I just put my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the ass!

A couple of my favorite Gene Wilder quotes:

From The Frisco Kid: "I don't want to hurt you, I just want to eat you."

My description: female version of Pat Buchanan; probably not relevant even in quite conservative circles since the 90s (age and the demise of the influence of syndicated columns).
