I recently watched the history of the Eagles documentary on netflix. Highly recommended. Fry and Henley had a remarkable run.

This makes me sad too, especially when combined with Bowie just prior. It just goes to show you that you can never tell. As OG pointed out, how on earth did Walsh, with his history of drug and alcohol abuse, outlive Fry (or almost anyone, for that matter)? Life is not meant to be fair.
      PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Ozzie and Keith Richards still live!

I hope Alan Rickman qualifies as one of the deaths for the Rule of 3.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Oh I didn't realize his anality is restricted to a narrow range of internet mistakes.

Abe Vigoda has died, for real this time. He's a prominent member of the Mt. Rushmore of guys you couldn't believe were still alive, along with Max Schmelling

Just watched this a few nights ago. I knew the Eagles had a lot of hits, but I was surprised at how many of their songs I didn't know were theirs. I was somewhat familiar with Henley's solo career and didn't realize anyone else sang lead for the Eagles. I was aware of Frey's solo hit songs, but didn't know he sang them, nor that he had been with the Eagles.

By the end of the documentary, I was getting pretty tired of "Take It Easy." On the other hand, I don't know that I could ever tire of "Hotel California". When it's on the radio, it's one of the few songs that I will stay in the car and listen to even after I've arrived at my destination. Love that song.
