If a person’s justification for doing something is that he has the “right” to do it — like booing college football players because he bought a ticket to the game — don’t be his friend, because his brain is very small.

More of a random stuff worth watching thing, but the article includes some background of an exonerated man. I was unsure about the 360 degree video at first, but at the end I liked the feel of it.

In the years most of us spend growing, learning, making a home, making a family, Rickey Jackson was serving time in a 6’x8’ cell for a crime he did not commit.

Why I'm Leaving the Republican Party:

The Kavanaugh confirmation fight revealed the GOP to be the party of situational ethics and moral relativism in the name of winning at all costs.

I left many years ago to become an independent, but this article captures my feelings quite well. I've been trying to figure out how to explain why I can't support either party and this column helped me clarify a few things. Worth reading if you're trying to better understand what's wrong with both current political parties.

                      The Man Who Broke Politics

Newt Gingrich turned partisan battles into bloodsport, wrecked Congress, and paved the way for Trump’s rise. Now he’s reveling in his achievements.

Agree. He usually has an interesting take on things. I like his writing style.

I missed the Mar a Lago story. Which one was that?

                            Largest living organism is declining:

Logan • A new study finds a Utah aspen grove considered the world’s largest living organism is continuing to decline despite new fencing designed to keep out mule deer whose appetites are blamed for its deterioration.

                            Has anyone been up there?

Asian Americans suit against Ivy League. Interesting stuff.

With a lawsuit against Harvard, Asian-American activists have formed an alliance with a white conservative to change higher education.
                              PLesa excuse the tpyos.

It's a great story, and grew out of Coppins' fine 2014 Buzzfeed piece about the Donald that (this will shock you) Trump was greatly offended by and went on the attack. Coppins had followed Trump around, including rides on the private jet and a stay at Mar A Lago, resulting in a less-than-flattering presentation.

On the eve of Trump's formal nomination two years later, Coppins wrote a funny follow-up piece about the earlier article and Trump's reaction. Given that Coppins (like everyone else on the planet) was highly skeptical of a successful Trump candidacy, the second piece is almost an apology for goading Trump into running.

Among the funny elements is Trump's typically ham-fisted attack on Coppins, backing up his claim that Coppins was sexually harassing the female employees at Mar a Lago with a statement from one of them: “I don’t know how to say it — he was looking at me like I was yummy,” complained one hostess named "Bianka Pop."

Read both pieces if you enjoy rips on Trump--Trumpophiles shouldn't bother.

BTW, at last report, Coppins was a faithful member of the Church, and was serving in the bishopric of my daughter's NYC ward. If you know anything about him, or simply look up his Images on Google, you'll probably not believe Trump's lame accusations.
