The arguments against putting fluoride in the water are beyond idiotic.
Doesn't Texas have naturally occurring fluoride in the water?
I grew up in a place where there was fluoride in the municipal water, but we didn't have municipal water at my house. The water lines didn't come out to our house, so we had to dig a well and install a pump. We didn't have fluoride in our household water.
But still, four kids in my family growing up, zero cavities in any of us. My oldest has already had problems and I think it's because I didn't take care of her teeth well enough. Part of that is I take good teeth for granted because it seemed it was a given in my family growing up. My mother told me it was in fact because my father was fastidious in brushing our teeth when we were young and was hellbent on his kids not having problems. The second reason is because my parents didn't have a bunch of sugary garbage around the house. Since the problems my oldest has had have come to light, I have adopted my dad's habits.
