I got a root canal in Ensenada for like $200.

I also go to the local dental college for cleanings and stuff. Who needs insurance?

My ward is Eugene Mormon Dentist ward, I think we have 5 and some kind of specialty dentist that I have no idea what he does. In general I like all of them. I gave one some lift tickets one time, he made me a fake gold tooth in exchange.

As I was posting the story it made me realize that I needed to make sure I find it tomorrow in our move. I think I know where it is. If so I'll find maybe wear it to church Sunday and take a pic.

As a follow up... I went to the U of Michigan endodontics department for all my work and had a guy I knew in the program do it for grand total of $265 out of pocket (billed the insurance $2000 maximum). It took 6 trips to Ann Arbor (60 miles from where I used to live). But a really good deal for those three root canals, crowns and everything.

Just got back from my 6-month check-up and cleaning. Teeth are still in good shape. My dental hygienist could tell that I had given up diet sodas.

i had a checkup last week and my dentist commented again on my healthy teeth. He can tell just by looking that I grew up in an area that put fluoride in the water. He then proceeded to complain that Utah wont put fluoride in the water. I still don't understand that.

According to my mother (bless her heart), once you let them put fluoride in the water the next thing you know the communists will start putting mind control drugs in the water.

I assumed it was something along those lines.

I assume EPU is opposed to putting fluoride in the water.

Every 3 months there is a letter to the editor in our local paper from a nutjob-conspiracy-theorist-Obama-hater member of our stake. The paper has a 90day between rant policy, thankfully. I've learned how I'm giving my kids rat poison, and endangering their long-term health, by drinking our city water....Oh well, still better than dealing with dentists. Neither my wife nor kids have ever had a cavity.

Why don't you just buy drinking water with fluoride? I may be wrong but I don't think fluoride injected into the city water helps my grass grow any better.

Besides according to this review on amazon the fluoride additive is a poison that the Nazis used....

EPU and a texas guy are opposed. I am seeing the pattern I suspected all along.

Doesn't most of Utah water now have fluoride? I'm pretty sure everything in the SL Metro area does. I moved to Utah before my junior year of high school and got the same comments from our new dentist. They knew I hadn't grown up here. My older sister and my next younger brother and I have never had a cavity. The younger set of siblings have all had several.

I don't understand it either. Doesn't the lack of fluoride lead to more business for your dentist?
                                PLesa excuse the tpyos.
