I am more concerned with the garbage can. Why is it open? You can tell that having the lid off is not temporary, because it is pressed against the side of the wall. So you leave your garbage can open all week? Is that so you dont have to open the lid everytime you put something in it?

The former owners were very old, and one of them had severe neuropathy, so all of the entries and showers have handicapped bars. We've found them to be useful, so we've left them in place.

Our recycler says residual food in containers is fine. The only thing they ask is that nothing is placed in plastic bags and that boxes be broken down flat.
