Why does Topper provide a link to a picture that actually appears just five posts above? Why does Topper persist with the lame third person self-reference affectation?

My favorite X-mas ornament. I call it "Chairman Mao." It makes no sense, it has nothing to do with X-mas, it doesn't match anything else on the tree.

Second, Topper is a dumb person without the education of the esteemed persons posting here. There are college professors and high-minded or low-minded lawyers and physicians.

Topper is but a dumb itinerant salesman, so Topper's voice in first person is unworthy of such lofty people.

My surliness results in part from the frustrating uncertainty of whether you've abandoned the definite article with your self-references. Is it "Topper", "the Topper", "des Topper", "Alan Smithee", etc.? I acknowledge a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, but still, ease my pain.
