I don't know why, but I will commiserate with you because I would have walked away feeling the same cocktail of anger and guilt.

I have nothing else to say at this time.

Pomplamoose! I (or however you spell it). The commercials were bad, but I like them (the group).

Today I had a strange experience. I came out of Home Depot and a white car pulled up to me. I knew the guy was going to hit me up for money. He proceeded to do so and his pitch revolved around buying formula for his kid that was strapped into the back seat. The kid looked about three years too old to need formula. They guy also didn't look like he was hurting too much considering the size of the diamond stud in his ear and his late model Nissan. My brain tells me the guy wanted money for something other than food for his kid. I didn't have any cash and told him so. He gave me a dirty look and took off.

Can someone tell me, considering what I've written above, I feel guilty for not floating the guy a few bucks?
I've been approached a couple of times asking for money for formula, and may even have a post about it here. After looking into it, I think it is likely that 95% of the time, if the individual actually wants baby formula, it is for one of the following reasons:

              1. Use it to cut drugs (evidently it is fairly popular for this)
              2. Sell it to make a profit

No matter how neatly I put the lights away each year, it always seems to be a rat's next when I open them the following season. Adding to the degree of difficulty, my wife decided she didn't want an every other bulb pattern, but 2 whites then two reds (much like Killerdog, she is a fan of the red-white color scheme).
Each year when I take the lights down, I put each set in separate bags (great re-use of plastic bags from the grocery store). I write on the outside of each bag indicating where this string goes on the house. It greatly simplifies getting them out and ready the next year.

                • Let's talk office X-mas parties. What is everyone doing this year? Any good ideas to pass along?

last year we did a casino night. It was a big hit. I'd rather not do the same thing two years in a row.

It hasn't been planned yet? Where are you going to have the party?

Working in a one-man office, I think I will take my spouse to a nice dinner on the company card and call it the Christmas party.

I don't plan parties. I think it is in two or three weeks.

We are having our usual formal night at the Joseph Smith memorial building. This year for entertainment (we have had everyone from Brian Regan to Vocal Point) is some magician.

I thought he was average at best. This was however 5 or 6 years ago we tried to have him back but he has been big timing us lately.
