Last night we were out doing sparklers with the neighborhood kids (next door neighbors and across the street neighbors). The house down on the corner was having a party and they came out to light fireworks. Their first firework was a small bottle rocket and I guess the tube tipped over and aimed straight at us. The rocket flew right behind MJ and expoded about 20 feet past her near where the kids were running around. No one was hurt but we had some screaming kids for a minute or two. My 3 year old never recovered and we sent her into the house for bed.
Crazy thing is, the people that lit the rocket never came over to apologize or see if anyone got hurt. Weird."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. After smoking about 200lbs of pork butt this week, I wasn't in the mood to smoke anything for dinner tonight.
The boil consisted of red potatoes, corn, kielbasa, snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels and scallops.

Anyone interested in golf in Midway on Wednesday? My son and I are playing Wasatch Mountain that afternoon. We were planning on playing with a law school friend of mine and his son, but I just received a text that his oldest daughter in California went into labor, so he and his wife are now heading down to meet their first grandchild.
