I digress. On weekends some of the older lawyers would wear pants like these - with cuffs, and much looser-fitting - to firm outings:

(This model is funny to me because the firm was very"white bread" at the time.)

Anyway, we called them "jackass pants."

How short are the shorts? How tall are the boots?

Depends. Tough to pull off for most IMO. But the ones that can....

I don't know. You see all combos. Usually mid-thigh shorts with mid-calf boots. I kind of think it's a ridiculous look no matter what, certainly when it's 102 degrees out. And it seems like whatever life the look did have passed away in about 2007.

Like Surf said, a few girls can really rock the look, but even on them it seems like they belong in a strip club or line dancing rather than walking along the street or shopping at Target.

I just didn't know if you were counting those ankle cowboy boots as boots. But yeah, the long boots with short-shorts is pretty dated for those who are not independent contractors in the "entertainment" industry.

shorts with boots are fine, as long as you include a plastic gun and a kid's cowboy hat.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Just saw a lady wearing guess jeans. Triangle on the buns and all. Feel like I haven't seen that in a long time.

Last year I wandered into a guess store and bought what has turned into one of my favorite purchases ever. Tried on their jeans but wasn't impressed.

Ha! From the tattoos that covered almost every piece of her exposed body, I doubt that.

My coworkers and I were discussing stores we used to rock that have now disappeared:

                                Espirit
                                Contempo Casuals
                                The Limited
Banana Republic back in the day when they carried safari wear
                                Jeans Warehouse
