Yup. I'm a youngin'. My parents built their home in 1976, back when Wasatch was a dirt road. I was four when you graduated.Originally posted by il Padrino Ute View PostI probably graduated close to when you were born - 1982.
Back in my day there were no homes east of Pepperwood. Just the mountains. We grew up fairly close - I was just west of Pepperwood. The wall there was the back fence of my parents home.

My worst date happened when I was 18. It was the summer after my freshman year at BYU, and I had flown to San Diego to visit a girl I had met at BYU. She lived in Coronado, and her parents were severely uptight, severely Mormon, and severely disapproving of me, mostly because at that time in my life I had no plans to serve a mission. Still they invited me to stay in their house for 3 days while I visited their daughter.
The first night we decided to grab a blanket, build a fire, and hang out on the beach. The girl decided the evening would be enhanced if we could score some booze, so we secured a bottle of Boones Farm Apple wine -- her choice, not mine. Since I didn't care for the Boones Farm, she ended up drinking the entire bottle and, not surprisingly, became violently ill. She passed out, but not before vomitting copiously upon herself.
Now I had to get her home, but she couldn't walk and she was covered in her own vomit. I wasn't quite sure how to explain it to her parents. I can bullshit with the best of them, but I saw no way out of this.
My only hope was that her parents would be asleep when we got back. I pulled up into the driveway, coasting with the headlights off. She still couldn't walk, so I had to carry her inside. No sign of her parents. Her bedroom was upstairs, directly across from her parents' room. I carried her in my arms, up the stairs, staring at her parents door, waiting for it to open. It didn't.
Once I had her safely in her bedroom, I had another problem. She was covered in vomit. If her parents came in her room to wake her up, it would be obvious what had happened the previous night. I had to take her clothes off. That was the scariest time, because I was sure her dad was going to come into the room while I was in the process of disrobing his unconscious daughter. He never came in, and I got the clothes safely stashed in the hamper. I then tip-toed down to the guest room, went to bed, and in the morning joined the entire family for a lovely breakfast of bacon and blueberry pancakes.Last edited by Non Sequitur; 01-07-2010, 10:58 PM."The mind is not a boomerang. Ok, I know where you're talking about. I don't want you to divulge any personal info, but I have to ask - does your maiden name start with a Z?Originally posted by SuperGabers View PostYup. I've gone at least once per quarter, so yes. My worst date ever was the worst kind of blind date. My friend was dating this girl, and she set me up. I had never met her, and my friend had never met the girl she was going to set me up with. Needless to say, this chick was a total dog that would have never cleared my friend had he seen her.
Anyway, we went mini-golfing, and at some juncture we heard Two Pina Coladas by Garth Brooks. With a completely serious expression on her face, she asked me, "did you know this song is about an alcoholic beverage?" She acted like she was completely floored when she found that out. So I ask her "have you ever been out of Utah?" She says, "yeah, I went to Disneyland last year." Awesome.
Not as good as most in this thread, but that's my worst date.So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

You probably know my younger siblings. We moved to Utah just before my junior year of high school at Alta so I never really got attached, but my younger brothers and sisters were more involved, particularly in sports.Originally posted by SuperGabers View PostYup. SuperGrabbers, I didn't know you lived on Wasatch. Was your house the one that looked like Epcot?Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Ha! No! Not us. We lived about a mile north of there. On the corner of Deer Hollow and Wasatch... Our horse corral was in the front and the house set back from there...Originally posted by falafel View PostHey, I grew up just west of Pepperwood!
