2) 6989 pts 13 yrs off - 557.5 m - Said Cologne (in German) on the ship. I too noticed the mustache fashion and move the date later about a decade based on it.
3) 9943 pts 1 yrs off - 343.8 m - Based the time on the laptops that were in the shot. It looked like a decade ago or so. Didn't think I could find Optiver on the map, so I didn't search too hard and just dropped it in the city.
4) 10000 pts 0 yrs off - 19.5 m - Woohoo! Some luck here on the date. I did only see one cell phone and though fuzzy, it looked older. I considered an Icelandic eruption but had no idea of the year that may have occurred.
5) 8218 pts 5 yrs off - 181.9 km - This is where my trip to London will help me out. I went with Wolverhampton.

1) 10000 pts 0 yrs off - 2.8 m - We've had this location before, so that was easy. The only thing easier was the year listed on the sign.
2) 3912 pts 5 yrs off - 8718.1 km - Only big clue that I found here was the cars driving on the left-hand side. I was thinking it was most likely around India or Indonesia. I picked Kuala Lumpur. There was a generic English sign "DEO Games" or something, but I dismissed that as I thought it could be anywhere. I didn't see any other clues that pointed to NZ. I'm sure I missed something. I guess the one boy does look Polynesian.
3) 9563 pts 3 yrs off - 1.1 km - It said Hague on their hats.
4) 9934 pts 0 yrs off - 2.9 km - Had the city and year written on the photo.
5) 9296 pts 4 yrs off - 213.9 m - I didn't realize she had been PM for so long. Most of what I heard, I thought was pretty recent, but time does fly.

1) 9992 pts 0 yrs off - 386.5 m - The easy one.
2) 9212 pts 4 yrs off - 4.2 km - I saw Kensington Road on one of the signs and guess London. I was a few years too early. I was going to go way earlier until I looked at some of the car models.
3) 5962 pts 6 yrs off - 1876.7 km - First sign I see is French, so I'm assuming this is a French team. Didn't notice the closely related Latin words weren't French until the result. Guessed too early.
4)9235 pts 4 yrs off - 2.8 km - Second guess at Paris is correct. Lots of different languages on the signs, but French seemed the most prevalent. A few years too late.
5) 7099 pts 4 yrs off - 1401.9 km - Lots of fuzzy stuff in the photo. Only word I could make out was Futuro, which I'm assuming is Spanish or Italian... maybe Portuguese. I did think the buildings on the hill looked English, but I wasn't sure of anything on this. Guessed a few years early and went with Barcelona

4) 9782 pts 2 yrs off - 900.4 m. A definite Latin Quarter vibe, with a Mansard roof variant in the background. Fashions helped my daughters get close on the year.
5) 9628 pts. 1 yrs off - 56.5 km. Central to northern England look with the buildings. A daughter was aware of the Futuro home thing from the early '70s.

9894 - 1 year, 2.2 km - Initially was going to go with the right year but opted for one year later. Selected random spot in London though was intending to go closer to Kensington Palace. Looks like my random pin location was closer to actual than Kensington Palace would have been.
6330 - 6 years, 1139.4 km - I thought Italy
8354 - 7 years, 1.6 km - Almost guessed much later but the fashion convinced me to go early 80s (should have gone mid-70s).
7491 - 3 years, 1217.1 km - I thought the backdrop looked like it could be an aqueduct, and with the "Futuro" name, I thought Italy (again).

5) 9296 pts 4 yrs off - 176.3 m - I believe I guessed late on this one. I guessed late on every single one today.

2) 8900 pts 5 yrs off - 14.0 m -- Bay St is the big financial street in Canada similar to Wall St in the US, so it wasn't hard for me to find the location. I guessed too early, I believe.
3) 9815 pts 1 yrs off - 8.8 km -- Picked the wrong mosque in Istanbul but wasn't too far away. I went with Camlica instead of Suleyman.
4) 2618 pts 54 yrs off - 1764.5 km -- Big miss here when I should have known better. Mixed up Morocco and Tunesia when I knew better. Also, though it was the Arab spring.
5) 8566 pts 3 yrs off - 534.1 km -- Picked a nice central location in Greece to hedge on location and then of course it was out on Crete.
