9884 - 1 year, 2.9 km - Figured it more likely to be at the White House, but the backdrop looked more like the Capitol Building to me. I initially figured to do Hoover's first Thanksgiving in office since the public may not have soured on him by then, but went the next year as a hedge for his 4-year term, damn it.

9588 - 3 years, 589.7 m - Saw the city and country name at the bottom of the hotel sign, and thought I'd nailed the location spot on. Nope. A little late on the timing.

9917 - 0 years, 4.0 km - After starting off so well with my first two, I didn't want to waste the round. Had no clue where it would be, so I Googled "generasi" from the sign and found it was an Indonesian organization. Went with the capital and got lucky on the year.

7500 - 10 years, 15.9 m - Looked for Woodward on Manhattan and Chicago and even a little in London (there was a business with "Royal" in the name) then the Goodyear shop finally clued me in on Motown. A decade late because I'm terrible identifying what year of manufacture on antique cars. I remember at least one horse-drawn wagon that should have clued me in it was earlier.

So I went a few years late with 1938 (and since realized that Hitler didn't invade Poland until 1939, which got me one year closer than I should have guessed).

There were ads in English that suggested British or Scottish with a "tish" shown, but there was some flag I didn't recognize with the Nordic cross which would suggest Scandinavia. It also looked lightly populated (not huge stands but a raucous crowd) and looked cold there. So, I picked one of the closest Scandinavian locations to the UK and pick the Faroe Islands. I picked the wrong city and stadium though.
