42k and change. I crapped the bed on #4--was way off on the years and wrong side of the middle east. So that ruined my chance an an all-timer score. But I did set a new record for nearness of a known location at 3.3 meters today on picture #5 . My record for nearness on a random guess is still the newspaper stand in Dakar, which was somewhere around 8 meters.

6276 - 3 years, 2472.4 km - Looked similar to Spanish but not, so I tried Lisbon in spite of the odd characters.

9894 - 1 year, 2.3 km - Didn't drill down into Havana to locate the exact spot.

6285 - 12 years, 215.4 km - Didn't see anything to tie it to Beirut, so just went with Tel Aviv with the "Canaan" sign.

Whenever there are knee-length shorts on women or below-the-knee shorts on men, that's a giveaway on timeframe. Somewhere between 1998 and 2005, most likely.

9055 - 0 years, 444.6 km - I searched for when August 2 fell on a Monday and then, after getting 1909, saw the year written on a paper just below the Aug 2 reference. Thought Ireland at first and scanned it at a high level before moving on to Scotland. Saw a similarly-named town there. Should have just plopped the pin in Ireland.

6259 - 11 years, 241.1 km - The restaurant name had me thinking Italy but the beer made me think Germany. Went with Munich. I thought I saw just a few cell phones raised in the background so I figured (incorrectly) that it was early smartphone timeframe.

12 - 28 years, 13920.6 km - Considered Bangkok but foolishly went with NYC instead. Way too early.

8899 - 5 years, 73.1 m - Saw the first part of Liverpool on a sign. It looked more recent to me than the Beatles, so I hedged with 1969.
