3) 7482 - 9 yrs - 906.7 m. Similar to PAC, the "Islando" or whatever wording, combined with what looked like a sparsely populated town, led me to guess correctly.

4) 8593 - 3 yrs - 506.7 km. I was going to guess either Madrid or Barcelona. Went with Barcelona because I figured it's close to Basque country (I think?) and there are a lot of Basque sheepherders (I think?).

5) 8956 - 1 yr - 493.9 km. I guessed Wellington because the business said Welly's or something like that.

Darn. I went back to look at the Cork picture. I have a "portrait" ratio browser window on one of my vertical screens. I didn't realize I wasn't seeing all the picture, so I never saw the bottom of the image. Probably wouldn't have put it together anyways.

Total of 35,843. Had a couple pretty good ones and a really bad one.

9948 - 1 year, 85.7 m - Thought it was Diana, but wasn't sure. Her expression made me think it might be a funeral procession or something, but her light colored blouse and the smiles on the people in the crowd convinced me otherwise. Was about to guess London until I noticed the Opera House in the background.

8501 - 4 years, 598.6 km - I saw the writing at the bottom but don't know Ireland well enough to connect it. I went with London a few years too late.

6740 - 1 year, 2128.7 km - Went with Stockholm since there seemed to be a lot of Volvos. That's where they make Volvos, right?

1012 - 19 years, 9290.6 km - Didn't notice the pricing in euros. Considered the Basque region of Spain, but the signage seemed to have English as the primary language, so I ruled out Spain entirely. Went with a small town near Bakersfield. And way off on the year, too, as usual.

9942 - 1 year, 405.6 m - Saw New Zealand on one of the signs and Kiwi on another, defaulted to Auckland. Tried to make out the date on one of the publications, but no dice. Based the year on the hair styles on the magazine covers and the authors displayed.

How did you get a higher score than me (8501 vs 8202) on the Irish one when we both picked 4 years off and my guess was 0.4km closer?

On a different note, I too noticed the Volvo by their very distinct headrests they had back in the day. That's one of the reasons I was thinking Scandanavia for so long. Also, the word that started Fj, like Fjord.

3787 - 7 years, 5563.9 km - Didn't recognize them but figured they were actors. Considered London but went with New York near Broadway.

4939 - 19 years, 560.6 km - Thought Greek instead of Turkish, so went with Athens. Cars made me think it was much earlier than it was.

9596 - 3 years, 216.3 m - A bit too early.

4930 - 15 years, 1140.0 km - I, too, went with Rome instead of Bucharest. The dome in the distance made me think of Vatican City and I thought some of the signs were Italian. Also way off on the year.

8854 - 5 years, 1.6 km - Selected near the Capitol Building and thought it was from the 1968 Presidential campaign.

1) 9868 - 1 yr - 3.9 km - I could've guessed NY or London, but the dude just looked really British. And the sign said "theatre." I know a lot of theaters in the US use that spelling, but I figured it's even more common in the UK.

2) 7459 - 10 yrs - 1.3 km - I was going to guess anywhere from Poland to Romania until I saw the "kebap" sign, figured it's the same as "Kebab," and decided to select somewhere in Turkey.
