I very nearly did as well. But then a closer inspection of the writing made me think somewhere around Germany or Belgium (or the Netherlands ).

I thought the writing looked Turkish, so I went with Istanbul. I've missed pretty badly whenever Morocco is spotlighted. Pretty sure I also missed badly on the year.

The first location that popped into my head for the Amsterdam one was Berlin. I thought some of the writing could be German. I tried to think of where else it could be since they just featured Berlin yesterday. I lucked out with Amsterdam - didn't notice it written anywhere. I was thinking I was way off on the year, but it looks like it was just 3 years off.

I was way off on the Gateway Arch, thinking it was 15 years older.

Writing looked Arabic to me (sign above the store). On the arch, those cars looked mid-sixties, so I rounded it off to 1965 and lucked out on getting the year spot on.

Yes, that looked to me like they were modeled after the star on their flag. I think Marrakesh is the location you should use for all of Morocco. I'm going to, anyway. I remember having a shirt like that in the early 80s which is why I was so far off.
