I think one of my favorite applications of AI is the Grok button on Twitter. It's only been live for the past week or so, but I've used it quite a bit. Really helpful tool to explain memes or get additional context for a tweet. So far it seems unbiased.

I am completely behind on learning this as are all govt. I have re-written rule doing my own legwork and research on various state Medicaid agencies but thinking this maybe helpful for me to at least get a starting point for me on projects I have.
I am also looking to revamp my wife’s resume and also create some formal answers to question she has encountered when applying for jobs.
Is ChatGPT good for these things?

Yohio has the most experience with all this. Google's notebookLM seems the most useful to me that I've read about. https://medium.com/@riteshgupta.ai/1...e-ea69f3f6c975Originally posted by dabrockster View PostWhat is the best AI available now? I use ChatGPT all the time for work and it might be my favorite. I just use the free version.
My work has a premium license to MS Copilot. I use that occasionally.
I also starting to use Google Notebook LM all the time (hat tip to YO). If you have a ton of documents in PDF form, you can drop them in and ask questions about the content. Incredibly useful. You can do the same with a premium version of ChatGPT, but I like how Notebook LM organizes things. You can even drop in a link to a youtube video and it scan it in seconds and add it your notebook's content.
If you do any programming, the GitHub copilot is amazing. You embed it in your IDE (PyCharm, Visual Studio, etc) and you can give it prompts ("write a function that does...") or just start typing and it figures out what you are doing and suggests code. It is amazing. If you are working in Google Colab, Gemini does the same thing. And you can ask ChatGPT to solve any programming problem or analyze existing code ("This codes takes forever to run, can you make it faster") and the results are fantastic."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Mrs. NWC gives some cash to the kids and their partners for Christmas. She has previously spent late Christmas Eve hours writing thoughtful poems about what to do with the money. This year she asked chat GPT to write poems for each of them. Other than tweaking a couple of lines, she was happy with every poem. She was done in an hour."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

We will be using it to help answer interview questions that are pre determined. How to incorporate her resume into answering these questions. It has become tiresome to write an original response for each application. Being able to insert the question and have them look at her resume to put out a response she can tweak would be super helpful. Looking to revise her resume and this seems like a better product than paying some person.
We both work for the State of Ohio in Healthcare and work in policy so being able to gather information and respond without the significant research is ideal. She is an expert in her rules but any way to make it easier. She is a Medicaid Certification Specialist and is looking to move in a better position as a consultant or healthcare provider in the private sector. Wants to work remotely so her applications are geared towards this while she remains at the Ohio Department of Aging.
She is also getting ready to submit her PMP (Project Management Professional) application and being able to use her docs she has from her Masters degree and answer the question for the application would be very helpful in saving her time.
She is looking to gain further certifications in data analytics which is a big movement in govt. now.

My work has an enterprise license to Copilot but I don’t use it much. Nor do I use ChatGPT; however, I concur with The Dude that Github Copilot (owned by Microsoft) is really useful when programming.
It will be interesting to see how it changes with younger people who have always had AI-assisted programming vs old codgers like me that learned programming the old fashioned way. Will the young programmers really understand the fundamentals and understand why the AI generates what it does and how to understand and fix and debug it?

Does your work care that you use the free version of ChatGPT? My work doesn’t want me using it for some stuff I need to write since there’s the issue of privacy, of course I’m using it to write memos and summaries of pending deals. I want my work to get a private license as I’ve heard of many companies doing this to get rid of the privacy issue.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post

For ChatGPT, just make an account and start asking questions. Super easy to use.Originally posted by Bo Diddley View PostReally interesting stuff. Just log in with your google account. Start a new notebook, and upload a PDF or two and start asking questions.Originally posted by Bo Diddley View Post
I've done a little with it. Was referring more to Notebook LM. I'm excited to try it. Just wondering if there's much of a learning curve.
