Milk: The runny white excretion produced by a mammary gland.
Sausage: All of the bits of a dead animal that can not be sold as 'meat,' ground up with strong flavors to mask the underlying flavor of death warmed over.
Eggs: A chicken has its period, and we eat it.
Breakfast: The most disgusting meal of the day (but very important).

I bought 3 gallons for $5 at the Smith's in Farmington yesterday. We have a lot of milk drinkers in the house.Originally posted by Babs View PostUnder two dollars??? For what - a pint?!

Milk is $4 a gallon at Wal-Mart in eastern South Carolina. There aren't any mega-dairies around here.Originally posted by CJF View PostI bought 3 gallons for $5 at the Smith's in Farmington yesterday. The one thing that can be said of milk that is so cheap, is that it must have been produced cheaply... chapped utters, blood and puss, cows pumped full of hormones to make them lactate far more than nature intended.Originally posted by CJF View PostI bought 3 gallons for $5 at the Smith's in Farmington yesterday. First of all, chapped udders are easily cured with Bag Balm (as are a number of other maladies, both bovine and human). Second, blood and puss usually only comes as a result of mastitis, which in turn usually only comes with incomplete or shoddy milking - and you can't sell that milk anyway; it's only good for calves.Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostThe one thing that can be said of milk that is so cheap, is that it must have been produced cheaply... chapped utters, blood and puss, cows pumped full of hormones to make them lactate far more than nature intended.
The hormone bit is absolutely true, unless you are talking about locally produced raw stuff. Japan has mastered the art of juicing cows.Awesomeness now has a name. Let me introduce myself.

My aversion to milk in cereal came from europe. Fresh milk is tough to find at a decent price. In lieu of fresh milk, we would buy this boxed milk that wasn't required to be refridgerated until opened. It was disgusting and ultimately led to me giving up cereal (and other foods that require milk or any of its near-substitutes)"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

I like UHT milk. I think it has a creaminess that makes it taste good, especially when really really cold.Originally posted by Eddie Jones View PostMy aversion to milk in cereal came from europe. I recall that Pizza Hut in China was an initial flop because "pizza" was translated as "hot curdled milk product." Yummm! I'm also reminded of Jim Gaffigan bit:Originally posted by RobinFinderson View PostMore:

"Chicken? Do you know what they do those poor animals?"
"No, but it's delicious!"
