My kids discovered this guy a few months ago, who has been bitten by an alligator, had leaches put on him, and keeps finding the gnarliest insects on the planet to be stung by.

Crazy. We found a tarantula hawk in our backyard a few years back. While I don't think any sting is fun, I had no idea it was #2 on the insect sting pain index! Had I known, I probably wouldn't have let my son capture it.

I work around tarantula hawks and velvet ants all the time. Totally harmless. Even in the video the guy practically has to manually stick the stinger into his arm. Paper wasps though, not as painful but those guys will tag you just because they're assholes.
