    • So, my Ipod touch is acting up. It will be fully charged and then can be used for about 5 minutes and it shuts down. I can't turn it back on at all with either the button on top or the main circle button. If I plug it back in, it will finally reboot. Any time I unplug the ipod touch, it will again fully shut down after 5 minutes. Anybody seen this? Any ideas?

It sounds like your battery is shot. I'll give you $5 for it.

Battery is fully charged (at least that is what it indicates). Also, i've been reading some forums and I tried a tip that worked... kind of. I held down the top (on/off) button and the circle button for 10 seconds until the apple appeared. It then turned on just fine. My son played with it and it got all glitchy. Kept going from the main screen (with the slide to turn on slider) to the game he was playing to a screen asking to slide to turn off. It's very glitchy. Grrr....

A bad battery may show a full charge but then discharge rapidly.

The other behavior may indicate something else is going on, however. You might want to try doing a full restore to a clean iOS just to make sure. Connect it up to iTunes and restore after doing a backup.

            • That Siri is fantastic. Apparently if you look out the window and it's raining and you ask Siri if It's raining, Siri will tell you that, yes, it is in fact raining.

                    • I effing hate iTunes. What a piece of shit software that is. For all the things that Apple does well it pisses me off that occasionally it is a bitch to sync anything to it. I uninstall the damn thing, reinstall, reboot, restore, and nothing. And mind you this isn't just a windows iTunes issue either as I have seen it on my MBP too. I have had the issue with the iPad as well. Right now I have been trying to sync all my iPods to it and can't. Of course it is detected everywhere else and says connected on my iPod Classic and Nano and yet iTunes doesn't see it. Occasionally after rebooting or swapping USB ports I get a message that says iTunes has detected a device that may need to be restored, I click OK and then it disappears again. POS. Sync issues are one of the biggest reasons why I haven't gotten an iPhone.

I totally agree. The software is also very bloated.

I'm able to work around its quirks by using iFile to transfer files. I think that apple made a bad decision to lock down the file system. I understand they did it to protect their store, but come on...

                        • Here's a story on the couple who created Temple Run. It's pretty cool that people don't need a ton of resources to create something that can help them be successful.

As Bobcat Goldthwait once said when someone told him to try rattlemsnake becasue it tasted just like chicken:

"If it tastes just like f***ing chicken then why done we just eat f***ing chicken?"

If you want a laptop, then use a lap top. My iPad will never be as good as my laptop for word processing and other realted functions. my laptop will never be as elegant as my iPad for using the web and other realted fuinctions. using an iPad like a laptop is like pulling a tent trailer with your sports car.
                              PLesa excuse the tpyos.

Just think, if you also plug in an external monitor, you will be set.
