Hmm. Must not be available for 3gs.

That is the prob. I should have been more specific.

I have a Sprint 4S also, but I don't have the same battery issues. The battery life is not as good as the regular 4 that my wife has, but I do get about 8 hours of normal use. Not great.

I hate that since upgrading to iOS5 that both my phone and iPad do not save passwords for websites. I get the taptalk question everyday here and the makes me log in again. Other sites I have to log in each time. It is annoying.

              • I've noticed a decrease in battery life with the 4S when the Camera app is open or even when it's in the background. I just have to close it and I easily get through a full day of normal usage with 40% battery left.

Of course I'm not constantly on my phone. I spend about 1 hour a day on it while commuting, 1 hour at work tethering to my iPad, and 1 hour at home surfing from the couch/bed. I also use my phone for all calls as we dropped our landline.

Yes, shutting down apps is a big contributor to longer battery life, especially ones that are reaching out on wifi/3G and transmitting.

                  • So today my battery is still near 100%. Go figure.

It looks like the battery drain might be caused by a time zone app in iOS 5. Try disabling the app to see if it lasts longer.

Is there a slide rule app?

EDIT: I'll be darned, there is one.

So the droid was not the right choice after all? I'm surprised.

Same could be said of anyone who ever bought a blackberry. But I wouldn't say a blackberry was a poor purchase 2 years ago.
