Well, touché means, "I was touched," so thanks for dredging up that awkward experience after I left your house. Seriously, what did you say to him?

Well, they don't turn anything. And it's "cut the lights off." Since we're actually cutting off the power to the circuit, mine makes a helluva lot more sense than "turning" something that's clearly a switch, not a knob, like you.

You can have your rocks and sand. I'm glad Los Angeles steals your water!

You've given me nothing to work with here, dude.

I am up to my ears in pine straw. Those damn pine trees in our yard.

Does wuap force his kids to get their picture "made" and at the grocery store do they push a buggy instead of a cart?
What's to explain? It's a bunch of people, most of whom you've never met, who are just as likely to be homicidal maniacs as they are to be normal everyday people, with whom you share the minutiae of your everyday life. It's totally normal, and everyone would understand.

Absolutely. My kids do it without my urging.

My last trip to Utah bugged me for two reasons.
                    1. Drivers are terribly discourteous. Some of the crap they pull I'd never see at home.

                    2. The kids aren't very respectful. No yes sir, or no ma'am. Although I did get called "Brother" from a kid who had no idea whether or not I was LDS. Wierd.

No, but when his car breaks down he called a "wrecker." I mean, I guess it's fine if you want the guys to "wreck" your vehicle -- I'd prefer they "fix" mine, though. I guess it's all preference.

now in NC they say cut the lights on and off, so based on Tim's experiences in the Old North State, I'd say he's right on.

                          Hush, you're ruining my argument.
