I do not wish to enter in to a Mac vs PC debate. The days where Mac was superior for graphic design/multimedia and audio recording are long since gone. I can do anything on a PC that you can do on a Mac and I can do it just as easy.

PC's are far more cost effective for hardware. I just upgraded my PC to a quad core processor with a butload of RAM. The only things I had to purchase was a new processor, motherboard and RAM. I got all of it for under $250 because all the other parts were still good. This same machine has been upgraded twice before. You simply can't do with a Mac. You have to go drop a grundle on a new computer.

More like he's driving a Chevy Impala and you're driving a Mercedes C class. You both have leather seats and power everything, but he paid 20k and you paid 40k. Also, you get to pay more for repairs, and probably have to take it to the dealer to get the job done right.

Beyond that, do you have any data to support this notion? You can easily look up market share data for 2009 for apple, nokia, and blackberry.

The funny thing about this article from May 2009...Apple had just recently doubled its market share. That means that as recently as 2008, Apple's world shifters accounted for only 5% of total smart phone users.

what would 95% of the world do without these apple devices? My guess is they would go on with their normal daily lives.

Is Final Cut Pro one of the software programs that you claim is changing the world? I am not Familiar with "Final Cut Pro" but it sounds terribly critical. Should I upgrade tonight or can i get by until the weekend?

Oh geez dude. I've been a multimedia developer since the mid-nineties. I've watched the evolution of the two platforms from a very close range. My work required me to have both platforms sitting side by side on my desk. While I no longer do multimedia work I work at a tech firm and still keep up with both platforms. I also have a recording studio that uses both platforms so I'm very up to date on the production/post production side of things. I love Apple and have certainly invested a lot in their products but you fanboys have a massively skewed view of computer history and the current state of the industry.

BTW, my pc hasn't had a virus in years.

You are not comparing apples to apples my friend (no pun intended). Try this comparison in order to ensure there is comparable hardware, speed and memory etc. in each respective machine.

Again your numbers are like comparing the effect the Back Street boys had on music as compared to the Beetles. Do you get it yet?

And the point is 95% wouldn't have a PC if the mac hadn't first been invented

The iPad looks cool but with only 16 gigs to 64 gigs of memory and the inability to multitask, I don't have any interest.
