I keep mine for about 5. That's the reason it doesn't have the functionality to respond to Art's latest and greatest gadget.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I would have kept my GS3 longer than 2 years if not for a combination of a cracked screen, needing a new battery, and the lock button sticking. If I was only have 2 of the 3 problems, I would have kept it longer.

I was mocked by DDD and DH about the NFC chip. By the way, they were right it really doesn't matter that much as not much really utilizes it. However, that mocking should be directed right at that fingerprint scanner. It really doesn't add anything useful.

I think the majority of Android users utilize widgets.

Also, I think Google Now is fantastic and I would miss that with an iPhone.
That may be. My daughter raved about her LG's openness, and used it to make her icons look cool. She didn't do much else, and then switched to Apple a few months later. My brother doesn't utilize his openness much either. But maybe a lot of others do take advantage of it.

I think it's kind of lame that I can't get rid of the stock business and other icons I never use. I just put them in my 'useless' folder, and forget about them.

For the record, I think the lack of an SD card is a legitimate complaint. But I have enough memory as it is, and I can't recall the last time when I had a need to use a memory card on my phone.

My screen is not cracked but has warped lines through it. All the external buttons have broken off so I can't adjust the volume or lock the thing (there's probably some kind of key shortcut to do it, but I haven't bothered to check). The jack to charge it doesn't function entirely correctly so I have to mess with the charger cable to get it to work. And yet I still don't care enough to get a new phone.

Seems like a pretty cool security tool to me. My daughter rests easy at night, knowing that her siblings can't hack her social media accounts.

I for one, am eagerly waiting Mrs. NWC's fingerprint scanner and the increased sexting that will follow!!!

Yeah, maybe. If shit doesn't work to full expectation, it just doesn't bother me. And that goes well beyond phones. Car, disposal, computer, whatever. Drives my wife crazy, but I just can't get myself to care.

The fingerprint scanner was huge for me. I hate typing in a passcode every single time I wanted to use the phone. Now I just have to leave my thumb on the button for an extra split second and no code is even necessary. It is totally cool. I know Android phones don't have it so you have no idea how good it is, but maybe in the next 2-3 years the Android phones will catch up.

We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. I'll admit with the exception of the large physical button, Apple's design is great. The problem is that while the phone looks great, you also have the problem that with the iPhone Plus for the same screen size as the G3 the phone is much bigger.
