Amen. Apple is clearly caving to the Android trend. Truthfully, the current screen size is one of the big things Apple has going for it."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"

I have a 5c (didn't see any justification for the upgrade) and agree that the size is perfect for me. My wife's eyes are probably due a little LASIK and so having a larger screen/larger text is something that should serve her well. The biggest issue with her 4s is that it's developed some weird issue with the hold function, and she has recently lost the ability to have a conversation with the phone close to her ear without the call being put on hold. So she ends up either using her bluetooth headphones or puts every call on speaker at the risk of looking like a reality show star.Originally posted by Commando View PostAmen. Apple getting into the digital payment business...
http://online.wsj.com/articles/apple...nts-1409845551Apple Watch to Allow Mobile Payments
Apple Inc. plans to include short-range wireless technology in its coming smartwatch, according to people familiar with the matter, signaling that it sees a role for the device in digital payments.
The gadget's use of near-field communication, or NFC, reflects Apple's broader ambitions for the so-called iWatch beyond health and fitness tracking, the most commonly cited use. Apple also is expected to add the wireless technology to the next versions of its iPhone, people familiar with the device said, potentially simplifying the process of connecting, or pairing, the two devices.
NFC wireless is central to Apple's plans to offer so-called tap-to-pay into its mobile devices, allowing users to pay for goods and services using credit cards stored with iTunes, people close to Apple said.
The smartwatch would be offered in two sizes, each featuring a curved organic light-emitting diode screen, those people familiar with the device said. It will include sensors to track and monitor health and fitness data, the people said.
An Apple spokeswoman declined to comment.

Apple is usually never first when it comes to technology but they are usually the first to get it right.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostLol Apple adopting NFC now and pretending to be at the front with "broader ambitions"
finally iPhones will be able to touch each other to share playlists. Those samsung commercials were right all along, apparently."If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

I agree with that sentiment. Which is why it is ironic that Apple is simultaneously often the last to get it right with some things.Originally posted by Uncle Ted View PostApple is usually never first when it comes to technology but they are usually the first to get it right.
apples approach to mobile payments is incredibly frustrating. They make it very difficult for devs to monetize their apps to full potential.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

My wife is currently salivating over the bigger screen iPhone. Looks like the specs are nice also."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. I don't like watches and never wear one and I doubt I'll ever wear an Apple Watch. Now, if the watch worked in a way that I didn't even need my phone, then I might buy one."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Instead, you must have at least an iPhone 5 to use the watch. And the watch starts at $349, and that's sure to be with some silicone strap instead of the stainless steel options.Originally posted by Moliere View PostI don't like watches and never wear one and I doubt I'll ever wear an Apple Watch.
