My wife mentioned that she didn't need a van anymore. I told her she can replace it with any sedan except a Camry. I'd be interested to see what data the NTSB has on Camry auto deaths. So many people falling asleep at the wheel.

i was with a friend (who has more money than i do) at bmw of murray a couple of weekends ago driving cars. i was surprised by how much i liked the 435i gran coupe in the m sport trim. i do not believe bmw's horsepower rating on it, it was faster than the specs.

BMW has traditionally understated their HP/Torque figures.

At speeds below 30, any bumps pummel my kidneys.

At highway speeds (and above ), I can pass most cars with ease in 6th gear. And the handling is wonderful on mountain passes.

i already said im not a bmw guy. i think they are all boxy looking sedans and my mom drives one so that is out.

The engineering in the cabin of a bmw is fun, though. Quite unlike a pontiac grand am.

I'm a little too harsh here. People joke about the Bangle BMW designs of the 2000's, but they were cleaner than these. Air scoops and side molding added to the low hood and tall trunk lines give it a Pontiac vibe to me. But the interiors are clearly good. And the performance is always great.

Even though we haven’t driven it yet, we’re already falling in love with the 345-horsepower Ford Focus RS, mostly because of its DRIFT MODE button. I went to the Phoenix auto show last week. I guess Dodge makes something called a Hellcat model of the Charger. It has something like 700 hp.

We talked about this in the muscle car thread. Ridiculous model.
