That's pretty close to Athens if I remember correctly, is that right?

My family are mostly in Meigs County (Pomeroy) and across the river in Mason County (Point Pleasant). I lived in Gallipolis and Point Pleasant for a short time. Go MothMan!

Hometown of two very notable Americans. Bob Evans, who founded a wonderful chain of restaurants serving farm-fresh goodness throughout the Midwest. The other is his nephew, General Geoffrey Miller, who was commander of Gitmo and played a key role in operations at Abu Ghraib. Thanks, Gallipolis!

They lived in Washington County.. That whole area is Apalachia.. Depressed area.. I never understood how my wife's sister's all wanted to move back there.. But their husbands all were part of the upper income in that area. They seemed to live high on the hog.. Being in a urban area would make them just like everyone else...

I am SHOCKED there was no correlation to Dayton in this post.. YOhio seems to be off his game...
