Hello. Nice to know all of you. Here is my intro thread.

    How did you find CUF?
I am the louder, less hairy half of the purplemonkeydishwasher clan (pretty sure I added too many 'e's in there). He left this site up on my laptop one day. I started browsing around (not lurking!) and came across a thread named "When a man loves a bag of cheetos." I know I've been known to take things too literally but I was intrigued and kept reading even though I expected a different outcome.

We have gotten some great recipes, advice from this site so I decided to join. You need more ladies around here anyway.

How did you choose your moniker?
It's an homage to the Twilight Zone, the greatest television program airing on Sci-fi between 1:00 am and 4:00 am. My favorite holiday is New Years because there is a 24 hour TZ marathon.

What do you do (other than read CUF)?
I work full time as a consultant in the environmental field. Before I had kids and had more free time I was a runner and a Zumba instructor. I also did a lot of volunteer outreach stuff with my church. I was probably much more interesting back then.

How many time zones have you lived in?
    2

    What are your sports loyalties?
Meh, to be honest I'm not a big sports person. However, I am a fan of Team USA in the Olympic Summer Games (not winter, only summer).
I don't think that counts though. I will say I am a Jazz fan only because of a geographic loyalty. I don't care if they win or lose or whatever.

Are you looking forward to wuap's welcome question and what do you think it will be?
Yes. I don't know. But can someone tell me why my 2.5 year old calls bananas "talas?"

    Optional, but encouraged questions:

What do you like about CUF?

Different and creative ways to use the word "Member."

What don't you like about CUF?
Too much sports! Who do I complain to about this?

Do you pee in the sink?
    Is a drinking fountain a sink? No, I haven't.

Did you ever consider an alternative career path?
"Alternative" as in voodoo priestess/professional belly button lint artist or just an altogether different path? Yes, all the time.

When your kids get older, will you do drugs with them in order to teach them a responsible approach to drugs?
Probably not, but I would like to see the thread that inspired this question.

What's your standing in the church? (this was originally meant as a joke but it stuck)
I am not LDS. I'm Episcopalian (you know, the Henry VIII church). All groups need a token 'catholic.' I am happy to fill this position.

Why are you so creepy? How long have you been lurking?

I don't know why I'm so creepy. Maybe my mommy didn't love me. I only officially lurked for a day or two.

Do you expect anyone to respond to this thread?
PMDW should respond if he wants his dinner cooked for him tonight.

lol killer doll with Telly Savalas. Probably the most indelible TV show I saw as a kid. I didn't know anyone but me remembered it. I just googled it, however, and there's tons of stuffl.

Twilight Zone with Rod Serling. I recently parodied Rod and my kids and wife dind't know what the hell I was talking about.

How would you feel about keeping them up until 3:00 am to watch the re-runs? It still has a pretty big cult following. I remember my parents watching it (already in syndication by then) and hearing that theme music from my bedroom.
