I don't know what kind of dipthong you wear but I wasn't going for interesting looking as much as I was going for attraction.

The Marines don't have Medical personnel. They rely on the Navy for that. Navy corpsman train with Marines.

As I'm sure you realize Navy rank structure is different. A Navy Captain is equivalent to Full Colonel.

I served in a LAR Battalion. The Captain (and his entire unit) that I referred to earlier was attached to the MEU.

That explains it, almost like a division surgeon in the army.

Yes I realized that a Navy Capt is an O-6, that is what prompted the question. An O-6 would out rank an Inf Bn commander

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

You obviously "get it". It didn't escape the attention of even a simple NCO grunt that the Colonel didn't outrank the Surgeon.

The Surgeon was well aware of it too. He had a habit of keeping it interesting.

I like that you refer to the ladies as "bitches." It is good to know that there is someone more mysogenistic than myself of whom Magister Ute and beelezebubbabbette can use as an example of what not to become. This is why you orient your young men towards the US Army, we have far more respect for the ladies..........

With all due respect to borther wuap, it is one thing to 'get' a joke but another althogether to find it amusing. The first does not always lead to the second.

                    DevilDog, welcome!

I hope you enjoy the good times here. I love your toys.

As to the ridiculous idea that the pee-in-the-sink question be nixed, that is obviously not up to me, since I am no designer of templates, but it sure seems to me like it would be a big mistake to get rid of it. You can learn a lot about a person by whether or not he pees in the sink. The 'drugs with your kids' question, on the other hand, could probably get nixed, because too many folks here are obviously going to lie when they answer that one.

I feel that quote was taken out of context.

                      Is this misogynistic?

A hillbilly family from the hills was visiting the city and they were in a mall for the first time in their lives. The father and son were strolling around while the wife shopped. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, "Paw, what's at?"

The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I dunno. I ain't never seen anything like that in my whole life, I ain't got no idea'r what it is.

While the boy and his father were watching with an amazement, a fat old lady in a wheel chair rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular number above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order. Then the walls opened up again and a gorgeous, voluptuous 24 year-old blonde woman stepped out.

The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, said quietly to his son...

                      "Boy... go gitcha Momma"

I don't know if it is misongenystic or mysongenistic or if it is disrespectin' the lady folk, but methinks you and I are going to get along real fine.

However, I have pissed in the sink. I did it frequently as a plebe and quite honestly I have neither shame nor sorrow about the events.

you know, I appreciate your attempt to be the cooler-than-the-mormons guy who's seen the world and tried it all. But while your bitches quip was (maybe) funny the first time, now it's just your unoriginal, run-of-the-mill, mildly offensive look-at-me tripe. I think I speak for about 90% here when I respectfully request that you knock it off.

thanks, and welcome to the board.

Well Babs, thanks for posting a welcome. I have seen your posts all over this site.

As far as the unoriginal, look at me tripe goes... Robin set me up this time.

I was going to call my dog a porn-star because he thinks he is... but that didn't sound right either.

Pleasing people around this place seems to be turning into a full time situation. There appears to be a collective mindset on this site that permeates.

I respect that you asked nicely, and just slightly insulted me. As far as speaking like that all the time... I don't, so don't worry... you and the other 90% can rest easy. I'm sorry that word bothers you.
