I've never spent a lot of time around people with graduate degrees. It is obvious that many people around here are very smart.

I was assigned to work for a battalion surgeon for awhile, a full Navy Captain. He was a great guy and was funny as hell. He liked porn a lot, and used to send me out to get new stuff from the other grunts.

I am around some attorneys for work now.

I think I missed the boat. During my youth I should have went to school instead of partying and playing with reckless abandon. My youth was all bitches, bikes, boats, and booze.

Ah... the good old days.

Now it's all about my kids. Football, lacrosse, hockey, baseball. Rec teams, travel teams and the little girl is on a dance team.

We use recreation to keep the whole family together. Sometimes we go in smaller groups due to schedule conflicts. I've taken both boys together with me camping and down to Moab, and I've taken them one at a time.

The last camping trip I went on it was just the girls (mom and daughter) and I.

I think that referring to women as bitches, as a matter of course to imply that you had sex with them, isn't cool. I only call women bitches if they dare defy me.

I also hate it when I hear my female students call each other "bitch." It sounds so desperate.

My college just added a men's lacrosse team for next year. I'm excited for several reasons, but I think my kids will dig it. Most of my redneck cousins' sons play lacrosse, and they're pretty good at it.

As an aside, oxcoug's nephew plays lacrosse and is phenomenal; he never lost a u19 game in Georgia.

This is how you drop into "Hells Gate" in order to climb back out. My kid is on the rock on the right, a friend from Texas is riding with me. He drives an H1, but was too scared to drive his own rig up the gate.

What kind of battalion where you in? When I was in the Army our Battalion "Surgeon" was a PA - a warrent officer 2. The brigade surgeon was a Army type Captian.
