No review since Katy already posted, but I (mostly) enjoyed it. The first bit had me worried because it was almost like JGL doing his version of a guido, not an actual character. But he seemed to settle into the role as the movie went on.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I was hoping you would put a "dong or no dong" about this movie in the Magic Mike/Official Dong thread.

        • Enough Said has been out for a month, but we saw it this evening. I comprised half of the male audience amd my wife comprised 3% of the female crowd, so that should tell you something. But I liked it. The dialogue rang very true throughout, and James Gandolfini (RIP) and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (as well as a strong supporting cast) were excellent. It was a great demonstration of how too much, or too little, communication can be very hurtful, but I'll leave that discussion to a later date when people really want to be bored.

That said, although I liked it a lot the movie was more than a little comfortable because Gandolfini's obesity was a focus throughout (watching him in the sack with the petite JDF was really discomfiting, intentionally so). It was hard to block out the thought that the guy died shortly after the film was made due to the condition that was so frequently discussed during the film

Great chick flick. Very interesting depiction of life in a hasidic jew community in Tel Aviv. I was really drawn to the deeply religious lifestyle that didn't seem confining at all in the movie. The men seemed to have a very rich religious bond with one another that I'd love to observe first hand. That's probably what the priesthood seems like to men and women outside mormondom.

Anyway, an 18 year old girl is anticipating meeting the man her parents will choose to be her husband, when her gorgeous older sister dies in childbirth and her parents want her to marry her dead sister's husband.

If you loved Downton Abbey you'll probably like this movie.

              Funny, if you liked Jackass.

                • My soon to be three year old daughter loves watching the Justice League cartoons (she loves Batman) and that old Spider Man cartoon from the 80s. I'm thinking about taking her to Thor tonight.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

At the premiere last night, Mark Wahlberg "Lost his shit" when talking about what he had to go through in training for the movie. He was clearly taking a shot at Tom Cruise who said what he does is harder than being a soldier in Afghanistan.

I have continued to send my picks to Casey who runs it just to be an asshole . I would still be alive right now. Only 5 teams left.
