    If you want porno, just go for the real thing. The profanity and sex were not my objections. The absurdity of the situations and the context in which the sex often arose were. A guy getting a blow job in a publicly displayed exterior elevator in mid-day? It reminds me of the Friends' episode where Joey went to the grocery store and was surprised he didn't get a blow job from the cashier.

    It was like a Tarantino film without the literary quotes, style and panache. And by the time I left, there were any suicides, murder or explosions, which usually are contained in entertaining, non-Academy award winning films.

        These are screen caps from the movie you are criticizing. if I am understanding you correctly, the woman pictured below removed her clothing during the movie, perhaps on multiple occasions. You disliked the movie.

          As I stated before, if you want XXX porn, which this was not, go for real porn, if that's your style. The amount of nudity in this film wasn't that significant btw. Too much money covered it. RC did a good review.

          Go see the movie, return and report. Perhaps I am too old style.

              According to IMDB, neither Margot Robbie nor Katarina Cas are in any XXX porn.
              Same for Jean DuJardin

                  A Wall Street movie that portrays traders as over the top gluttonous cheating bastards....who woulda thunk Hollywood would go there?

                  FTR I know traders that fit that bill (likely not to the WoWS level) and they are the exception. Sounds like it makes for a good movie. I wonder if I can talk my EQP into a EQ movie night activity!

                    Tell me what genre is being depicted here. If it works for you, why. If you agree with me, why.

                    I wanted to like the film and had anticipated enjoying the performances, as many reviews are favorable. But in general, I was extremely disappointed in the poor performances, and lack of meaningful material.

                    I enjoy almost all varieties of film, film noir, action, drama, absurdity, satire, epochal, biographical, scifi, fantasy,etc. I suppose this film tried to be a satire, but it was poor attempt IMHO.

                          American Hustle is a worthwhile movie IMHO. It requires some tough acting which was difficult to achieve but overall I will rate it well done.

                            Wolf could have been good ... but Scorsese forgot to edit it. The movie was about 90 minutes too long. American Hustle was a lot better.

                                I heard one guy say this movie is up there w Goodfellas. Kind of doubt it, but I bet I see it soon.
