The Beavs painted their practice field blue to prepare for their trip to Boise.

Round 1 goes to Boise. They are already in their heads.
How so? It's just like when Boise practiced inside during fall camp to prepare for the humidity of the VaTech game.

The reason Oregon State is doing this is because Boise State has a "scheduling conflict" and is not allowing Oregon State to do a walk through at the stadium prior to the game.
It's absolute bullshit to have a field like that. It's even worse to have that field and then put up bullshit reasons to keep opponents from doing walk throughs to get accustomed to that shit.
Seriously. What program keeps opponents from doing a walk through at their stadium before the game?

Boise St. is not a bush league program. Any hate from Ute and Cougar fans towards Boise St. is just them showing how jealous they are of their success.

One that has gone undefeated 3 out of the last 4 years.
I know the whole "I hate that blue field" statements are tiresome and petty so I'll refrain from commenting on it (... but damn I hate that blue field!). Boise is not a bush league program. They would beat most top 25 teams the majority of the time.

2006 still smarts doesn't it. BSU has built a world-class D1A program from scratch. Impressive in my book.
I agree with PU that it is bush league that they will not allow OSU a walk through.
With that being said why the hell does the blue turf matter? There is no difference, did the beavers paint their field blue because they were worried about stepping on that nasty shit and being intimidated?
Stephen Paea is going to eff shit up. I think Oregon State wins this game.

For once I hope you are right.
I don't think it's about being intimidated. I think it's about getting your eyes and brain accustomed to something that is entirely abstract. How often do you play on any surface that is not green? Never. Also, throw in the camouflaged blue unis on the blue turf and I think it's completely reasonable to try to get the eye accustomed to picking up the blue against blue.
I can't believe they won't let them do a walk through.
College gameday will be there, so that should be fun. I don't really get the animosity towards Boise by BYU and Utah fans...other than those ass-kickings they've put on both schools in recent years.
I'll give Chris Peterson credit for staying there, and I think he's probably in it for the long haul.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Speaking of bush league, bush league is when you call time out at the same split second the kicker kicks the ball, knowing he will have to kick it again. I can understand icing a kicker prior to the kick, but doing it at the same time? Everyone has to line up again, and reset. If this spreads, then kickers aiming for field goals in the closing seconds of the game will know they have to kick it 3 times, if the opposing team ::cough:: kyle ::cough:: has 3 timeouts. Its bastardizing the sport.
To me, it would be like a basketball coach calling a timeout after the free throw leaves the hand of the shooter, forcing the player to hit the same shot 2 or 3 times. I think it is bush even when Bronco does it.
Karma is when this happens, and the kicker misses.
