I think that is why he is becoming more and more of a Washington fan. Now that they no longer have a black head coach I suspect he will fully cross over.

EPU was no slouch in HS, trust me. Here is some footage of his legendary workouts at the Lehi Rollermills

Nice. Isn't he one of those creepy old guys from Utefans that go to all the gymnastic events?

Also a former BYU player. You really do have to love the irony that both of his favorite football teams are headed by Cougars.

The story goes that they changed their name to "Lady RedRocks" so that EPU would not know how to track them down, thinking they were still called the "Lady Utes."

Frankly, I'm not surprised the Il Pad has chosen to cheer for a public university over the private option. The color red suits him well.

I don't know if anyone has already posted this, but bottom line is that it's impossible to compare either win. Utah beat an Alabama team that had shown how good it was throughout the season and BYU beat an Oklahoma team in the first game of the season. Utah's game was a great way to end a season and BYU's win is a great way to start the season.

                Apples and oranges, really.

                        Well, isn't THIS interesting.

SU was right. BYU's win over Michigan WAS more important than the Sugar Bowl.

I hope no one minds you making so much sense.

And SU, when I said this thread had descended from the sublime to the ridiculous, I meant that the sublime portions were some very insightful posts about the significance of two huge football games. It started to get really ridiculous when it became clear that some Coug fans honestly believe (or want to believe) the OU game was a bigger win than the Sugar Bowl. Junkie's post comparing the NFL prospects on the OU and Alabama teams was the most hilarious.

Then we got into the food fight portion of the thread, which had some sublime moments, but was finally characterized by TD's pointing out that BYU has 2 TV stations and Utah doesn't have one. (He forgot KUED, which, sadly, is not the PR tool of the U that KBYU is for the Y.) Now that was pretty good stuff! I wonder which campus has the better lawn sprinkling system?

LA--you've already made your little jab at our fanbase, now let it rest. Cougjunkie doesn't sincerely believe this was bigger than Alabama--he was responding to SU's minimization of the win (he's obviously above that, right?). OU's no paper tiger, and if they turn out to be less than expected, it will in no small part be due to us taking out the Heisman Trophy winner, which is hardly comparable to beating a preseason #24 badly overrated Michigan team. Yes, we have our idiots, but so does Utah (and every other fanbase in the country); in my book, making dumb generalizations about other fans just puts one firmly in the middle of that "idiot" category. Don't join SU there.

At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I have never seen a more badly broken sarcasm meter. How embarrassing.
