Boise looked pretty good against a USU team that is better than most other teams BYU has played this year (maybe about equal to Houston). If BYU beats Boise on the smurf turf, which they have never done before, then I will be a true believer.

It’s always tough to ascertain relative skill between teams with a small sample size, but from what I saw, UH would soundly beat that Aggie team.

Based on my 1 game sample size, I'd put usu at the level of worse than any team we've played

Yeah, I am saying that USU is about as good as Houston, but GM is right that it's a small sample size. No way is USU worse than all the teams we have played.

I'm going to keep my expectations low to avoid having them dashed. If BYU beats Boise in Boise I'll be all aboard the undefeated train.

No fans were at the game against USU, presumptively not simply because they were playing USU.

The USU play by play guy on the radio is predicting a BYU win in Boise - so go ahead and mark it down.

He says BSU's LB's and DB's are pretty good, but their DL is new and not great - he expects BYU to be able to go to a power run game, like against Navy, and have their way with BSU on offense rushing between the tackles - opening up the passing attack for Wilson.

It will be interesting to see if he's right. BSU is playing AFA this week - who crushed Navy and only scored 6 against San Jose St. We'll see if BSU can stop the dive play, though with their record it's hard to say how good/bad AFA is.

AFA is always a mystery. I miss us playing them because I never thought going in was a sure win, even when they had a poor record.
