falafel was the first to ring in correctly and gets the 600. The subsequent commentary should have been saved for the "getting to know you" break, but I'll let it slide.
falafel, the next clue is a Daily Double! Since you are in control, you get it! You have only $700 but can wager up to $1000.

Ohhh.... Uuuuhh.... let's wager it all, Alexiero. (by which I mean $1000).Originally posted by Fiyero View Postfalafel was the first to ring in correctly and gets the 600. The subsequent commentary should have been saved for the "getting to know you" break, but I'll let it slide.

Not technically the right thread, but any time i can re-read posts from DDD. Lingo and even IPU I'm all in.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed watching the GOAT Tournament with Jennings, James, and I'll get every Daily Double wrong Brad. As Chuckie would say, they are all Wicked Smart. I was proud of myself for yelling out 1 out of every 10 questions correctly, and crushing the first Final Jeopardy, but on the vast majority of subjects I couldn't even make a guess.
It was fun seeing the BYU alum, and fellow Washingtonian win the first match. I think he is going to have wager like James on the DD and FJ to win 2 more times, though.

it's great TV. those guys really are the best of the best. it's as if you could get MJ, LeBron and Kareem on a basketball court together all at the height of their prime. they simply don't miss. i think during both games last night there was a total of three wrong answers besides the daily doubles. in regard to the daily doubles, i get that's how the game is played, but you hate to have luck play such a large role for these guys. James took second in the first game and first in the second game despite going 0-6 in terms of daily double chances.Originally posted by Art Vandelay View PostNot technically the right thread, but any time i can re-read posts from DDD. after last night, it seems ken and james are pretty even in terms of total number of questions answered, with rutter being clear third - though he killed it on the low dollar answers at the end of the second game to make his score prior to final jeopardy respectable.
imo, you take out the luck of the daily doubles, james is probably the best player with Jennings a close second. but who knows - perhaps the next couple matches will prove otherwise.I'm like LeBron James.

It is such a luck of the buzzer with those guys; Brad has crushed Ken in the past tournaments. They're all pretty amazing with their knowledge and trivia recollection.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View Postimo, you take out the luck of the daily doubles, james is probably the best player with Jennings a close second. but who knows - perhaps the next couple matches will prove otherwise.
