It's far from mythical. It happens all the time.

Can we please get past the NC in 1984?!?!?

They won it, congrats. Why is this still such an issue?

Not talking about you two specifically, but to the board. I brought your quotes in for clarity.

I see. I think you might have misinterpreted the posts, but no matter.

The truth is that I am still bitter about 1984. I have to admit it. I mean, since when in the Wide World of Sports do they call penalties on mascots??? I hope y'all Cougars remember that ref in your prayers every night.

                  me either.

Although it is nice for other schools to win National Championships once every 35-40 years.

oh, like it didn't take your adopted team twenty-five years. I think they won their previous one sometime before I was born.

                      Touche'.

But this was the best college football game in history.

Much like the heydey of OU...way before any of us were born.

Although you were born in time to see the Schooner tip over.

I am on record as feeling that way. Despite the outcome, that was the greatest game I have ever seen. And I was (un)lucky enough to be there.

That was the longest drive home I can remember. Horrible. Part of it in silence, part of it reminiscing about an almost unprecedented 3-peat in college football. Seriously, the Trojans were 1 down away from a 3-peat.

That season was amazing. Just a few weeks earlier SC beats Notre Dame with the Bush Push.

I can say this much.....UT is probably about as annoying as SC.....irritating repetitive songs, irritating hand gestures, hot cheerleaders, irritating smug fanbase, and lots of irritating winning.

I don't know. I see that awful Boise game on an awful lot more highlight reels than I see this one on.

So focused on the rival, aren't you?

Indeed, I was Sooner born, not taken in off the streets like some illegitimate stepchild.
