On the bright side, it's nice to see Millennials taking an interest in the world beyond their iPhones, even if it a ham-fisted interest.

        • If you had to wager, what % of those Ithaca students knew anything about their president or his actions on racial equality before they decided to participate in a protest asking for a vote of no confidence in his leadership today?

Gee, I guess you're right! Poopswastikas and Police Brutality are the twin mythological events of our time! If only I could somehow get footage of either bigfoot or police killing/choking/beating the shit out of someone not posing an immediate physical threat, I'd be a rich man!!

WTF does that last sentence even mean? Notice the consistent lack of specifics. Does she mean the campus isn't obsessed enough about the emails from Yale talking about Halloween Costumes? Anybody that's been on a college campus, aside from BYU, knows the amount of discussion about racism rises to the levels of a near fetish. Who except for the far, far left and the delusional (but I repeat myself), honestly believes that Ithaca College is some breeding ground for racism?
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

But would you know what prompted big foot to walk across the screen? I mean without all the facts, it's pretty worthless footage.

No. Footage of Bigfoot is still footage of Bigfoot and extremely valuable. Who cares why he's walking? Today a dude tried to convince me that the time dude in NY who got choked out/murdered for selling loosies "wasn't the whole story." I inquired as to some shocking hidden fact I wasn't aware of. The response? That he wasn't cooperative in his own arrest. WELL, CASE CLOSED! Then the dude who got shot in the head b/c he put his car in gear trying to run from a Terry stop. The cop wishes there was more to the story- like the one he filed in his falsified report before he was busted by his own video footage that captured the murder. And then the other attempted clean up job by the cop who shot the fat guy in the back who was a deadbeat dad or something and b/c of the video is being charged with murder. And those one cops investigating the wrong house for a burglary and shooting the homeowner and his dog. etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum like in the police brutality thread. But of course-- this isn't a problem that needs addressing-- just a bunch of coddled babies controlling the narrative!!

Im not sure they are living outside their Iphones. This all looks Twitter-driven to me. If they are physically joining a protest March it is most likely so they can get a good selfie.

I agree they are not the same, and I doubt anyone here believes there isn't police brutality going on out there, but there is most certainly a narrative that is being pushed in general and the facts of the individual cases be damned.

Found not guilty is not the same as innocent (see OJ Simpson). Here's the video of Gladney's attackers:

They claimed he started it and they finished it, but watching the video and listening to the observer in the white shirt exclaim "you attacked him .. you are going to jail" it appears justice was not served.
