I expect a similar criticism of junkie if he lets us know that his dog shit comment was based on limited viewing of the Ute game.
I will admit I DVR'd and watched it later. The Utes weren't particularly impressive.

Funk, I'll even buy you a craft beer. Come on down to El Paso at the end of the month, and we'll go to the Hoppy Monk. I can't tell you how their craft beer tastes, but all their food is delicious!

Do you know if they have Blue Moon? I hear that one is really good.

Considering Utah has played a fairly weak schedule (we can all agree Utah state is garbage this year along with Fresno State. Michigan it remains to be seen) compared to BYUs schedule which through 3 weeks has been called the toughest in the country on several occasions.

Utah's leading receiver is Britain Covey with 127 yards in 3 games. BYU has 4 receivers with more yardage.

But wait Utah has Heisman Booker they don't need to throw. Booker has 345 yards in 3 games with a 4.0 ypc average. BYUs Adam Hine has played 2 games as the featured back, he has 278 yards rushing and averages 6.1 ypc.

Sack Lake City has 3 total sacks, BYU has 7.

Yeah but Utahs secondary is their strength. True Utah has only give up 7 passing touchdowns in 3 games and they have 5 interceptions against borderline FCS opponents. Of course BYU has only allowed 5 passing touchdowns and they have 6 interceptions against the #3 schedule in the country.

Ok fine but Travis Wilson was playing great before he got hurt and Kendal Thompson lead us to a nice win. Travis and Kendal have combined to throw more interceptions than touchdown passes this year.

The one spot where Utah owns BYU is punting, they have Tom Hackett the Ray Guy winner! Cool Hackett is averaging 44.6 yard per kick and two of his games have come at home. BYUs newly found punter Johnny Rugby who has never punted in his life is averaging 43 yards per kick and 2 of his games have come on the road.

Hacketts specialty is downing the ball inside the 20. Ok you got us there Hackett has downed 3 of his 12 punts inside the 20, while Linehan has only downed 6 of his 17.

Funk, I will buy you lunch sometime and we can laugh about the day that you claimed BYU made up the QB hurry stat.

BYU the first 2 games was the college football equivalent of the freak show. Everyone knows they aren't really the main event, but you are so intrigued by the freaks that they get a ton of attention before the actual show begins. BYU got a ton of media attention because of 2 hail marys and being a G5 team that had a couple of miracle wins. Don't confuse being a freak show and getting your 15 minutes of fame with being the main event. It will only end badly when the inevitable happens this year and you are at the Vegas or Hawaii bowl.
We aren't a G5 team. If we were, we'd be buying our tickets right now for the Fiesta Bowl since we would have already eliminated our only competition (Boise State) for that automatic slot. But as a doormat of a P5 league, I'm sure it makes you feel much better to call us a G5.

I am going to give funk the benefit of the doubt for the level of duncery he displayed yesterday afternoon. I am sure he regrets it and is embarrassed by his behavior. I am willing to act like it never happened funk.....we all have bad days (although your's was beyond bad).

Yeah not to dwell on it, but who among us had never heard of a QB hurry? And then to go on a BYU board and accuse BYU of making up an entire statistical category out of whole cloth in order to pad the stats of one of our best defensive players ever (who needed no stat padding, btw) for some Heisman campaign that never happened? Why would he do that? That's like trying to make sweet love to a beehive based on a vague assumption that there are probably no bees in there.
